This incredibly handsome boy came to us from a shelter where he spent far too long waiting for someone to choose him. Day after day, other dogs were picked while Barnaby continued to be overlooked. By the time he arrived in our care, he was in rough shape—underweight, suffering from significant hair loss, and generally feeling the effects of a difficult life. Thankfully, those days are behind him. Today, Barnaby is thriving. His coat has returned, his healthy weight is back, and he's blossomed into the beautiful dog he was always meant to be. Despite his large size, Barnaby is one of the gentlest souls you'll ever meet. He adores human attention and has a habit of slowly leaning his entire body into you when he's hoping for more pets—something that's impossible not to smile about. Barnaby is a more reserved boy who enjoys the simple things in life: a warm patch of sunshine, a comfortable place to nap, and people who love him. He would do best as an only dog or with another calm, respectful companion who will happily let him spend his days sunbathing and catching up on his beauty sleep.
